Financial Aid and Scholarships for Online Students
In today’s world, a bachelor’s degree is an increasingly important credential, no matter what you seek to do. In certain fields, a master’s is an essential stepping stone for making the leap into leadership or a more specialized role.
Aiding you on your journey, UCO’s Connected Campus pairs our quality, demanding academic programs with diverse financial aid packages that include scholarships. Learn more about the financial aid process as you apply, and explore various scholarships for which you may be eligible.
Transferring Credits
Many working adults deciding to enroll in an online degree program have completed some college. You may have started at a community college, received an associate degree and opted to enter the workforce, and now, you’re returning to school to earn your bachelor’s. You may have also accumulated various credits from two- and four-year schools and would like to put your efforts toward a completed bachelor’s.
Wherever you are in your educational journey, transfer students make up nearly half of Central’s population. We consider you a transfer student when you’ve taken six or more transferable credit hours from an accredited college or university.
If you have existing credits to put toward your online degree, review our Online Transfer Guide, or make an appointment with a transfer specialist to learn more. During the admissions process, UCO’s Transfer and Transition Support department will evaluate your credits to determine how they will be applied toward your degree.
UCO further offers Prior Learning Assessments. See if life experiences from military training to professional licenses to independent study can be applied toward your degree.
